I am delighted to welcome you to the Altrincham Grammar School for Girls website and introduce you to this fabulous school.
AGGS is proud to be part of the Bright Futures Educational Trust. Being part of the Trust provides a wide range of opportunities for staff and students to work with schools across the Bright Futures network. In return, Bright Futures provides us with outstanding support which helps staff and students alike to achieve at the highest level. We were one of the first schools in the country to be designated a National Teaching School and are a lead school in a number of subjects, including mathematics, science, PSHE and modern foreign languages.
Here at AGGS we are very proud of our traditions of academic success, sporting and cultural achievements and service to our community. We value the diversity of our school community and are committed to ensuring the school environment is inclusive and welcoming for all. We foster independent learning, confidence and leadership in our students, through stimulating and challenging lessons and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities. Here students develop high aspirations, achieve the highest standards, as our examination results testify, and are well prepared for future study and employment.
Relationships between staff and students are outstanding and we offer the very best pastoral care in a caring and supportive environment. With student wellbeing at the heart of all we do, at AGGS we are committed to providing a world class all-round education. I encourage you to have a look round our website and see for yourself the exciting range of activities we offer and the impressive children and young people who attend AGGS.
