Admissions Officer

Salary scale SO1 (points 29-31) £25,951 per annum pro-rata – Actual salary £17,778 per annum

The Bright Futures Educational Trust (BFET) is a partnership of schools based in the North West.  There are currently eight schools within the Trust. Our values of hard work, passion and integrity are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the retirement of the present post holder, we are seeking to appoint a highly organised and flexible individual, with well-developed communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure, to take on the role of Admissions Officer as part of our associate staff team.

Main Responsibilities

To ensure the efficient and accurate organisation of all aspects of the school’s admission arrangements and processes.

To implement the published admissions fairly and honestly at all times and work with the Principal and Governors to develop the policy in line with local needs and national requirements.

To be responsible for the administration of admissions relating to Years 7 to 11 and to liaise with the Examinations Officer regarding the administration of admissions relating to the Sixth Form.

To act as appeals administrator, supporting the work of the Clerk to the Appeals Panel.
