2018-National-Espoir-Group-League-(4th-place-photo)Rhythmic Gymnastic is a beautiful sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation.

Sonia started rhythmic gymnastics with the City of Manchester Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in October 2017, this is considered a quite late start in this sport as competitors tend to start at a very young age. She loves competing and trains very hard each week and has been really successful. In November 2017, She was joint 2nd place in U10 individual free routine at the North West Novice Championship, just a month after she participated in this sport!

She has recently just attended the same competition and was placed second in the U12 individual ball routine.

She was also selected as part of the club’s Espoir Group and competed in 2018 National Espoir Group League. They won 2nd place in round 3 of the 2018 National Espoir Group League on Nov 24th-25th at Fenton Manor and placed 4th which was a tremendous achievement, well done Sonia!
