Values

In 2015/16, the School Council Executive worked hard to develop a cohesive set of values that reflect the school community. The students consulted with the entire student body and staff to gain ideas about what the school community identified as the core values which underpin life at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls. The students created a sentence to help explain each of the values to help ensure they are reflected and embedded in the day to day life of the school. The students presented the school values to governors, the senior leadership team and communicated to the student body and staff in assemblies, ensuring everyone had an understanding of what they are, what they mean and how they relate to school life. The student school council have since rewritten our merit criteria and our expectations for learning to be in line with these values, providing greater cohesion across the school so that the values are embedded in everyday school life.
