During the last academic year, the School Council Executive have been working hard to develop a cohesive set of values that reflect the school community. The students consulted with the entire student body and staff to gain ideas about what the school community identified as the core values which underpin life at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls. The students created a sentence to help explain each of the values to help ensure they are reflected and embedded in the day to day life of the school. The students have presented the school values to governors, the senior leadership team and communicated to the student body and staff in assemblies, ensuing everyone has an understanding of what they are, what they mean how they relate to school life. The student school council have also rewritten the merit criteria and the expectations for learning to be in line with these values, providing greater cohesion across the school so that the values are embedded into every day life.
