Dear Parents/Carers
Year 10 Activities Days
This year at the end of term, the pupils will be involved in a variety of extra curricular activities including Interform Tennis and Rounders, Sports day, PTA Sponsored Walk and a Year group Trip. The dates for all the planned activities can be found on the school website and more information about Interform, Sports Day and the PTA Sponsored Walk will be available shortly.
On Monday 9 July the girls will be participating in a Careers Day, which will include an opportunity for the girls to practise their interview techniques. We ask the girls to arrive at school smartly dressed for these activities as many visitors to school will be giving up time from their businesses and professions to give our pupils this important opportunity.
On Tuesday 10 July the girls will be involved in an Enterprise activity during the morning. This will involve pupils competing in an Enterprise Challenge, creating a business model whilst developing their finance, design and presenting skills. The girls will need to be smartly dressed in business wear. During the afternoon of 10 July a number of speakers will be in school to deliver talks about sex and relationships as part of their PSHE programme.
On Thursday 19 July the girls will be visiting Chester for their Year group Trip. This day will include an opportunity for a boat trip as well as a walk around the Chester city walls with time for some lunch. Girls may wear their own clothes on this day. They can either bring a packed lunch or some money so that they can purchase their own lunch whilst in Chester. The cost of this trip will be £14.00.
Payments can be made in instalments. The first payment to be made in May/June for £9.00 and the second payment to be made before 6 July of £5.00. Payments should be taken to Reception in a clearly labelled envelope with pupils name and form. If any parent or carer will have difficulty making this contribution, please will they let me know, and I can assure you this will be kept in the strictest confidence.
More specific details about times and places to meet for each day will be given to the girls involved and will be available on the school website.
Yours faithfully
J. Ogunmyiwa
