Students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls excel once more in their GCSE examinations

GCSE-2019-results-(3)In the first year in which all subjects have been graded on the 9-1 scale, students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls once again achieved an incredible set of results in their GCSE examinations.

36.1% of all entries achieved the very top grade of 9 and 82.1% of all results were graded at 7 or above. 94.6% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate, achieving GCSE passes in English language and literature,GCSE-2019-results-(2) mathematics, the sciences, geography or history, and a language.

A phenomenal 42 students achieved grade 8 or above in all of their examinations and 91 students passed all 9 subjects at grade 7 or above. A remarkable 11 students achieved grade 9/A* in all subjects.

GCSE-2019-results-(1)We are delighted that the hard work of our students over the last five years has been rewarded by such fantastic GCSE results. These achievements also reflect the dedication of our teachers and the quality of the support provided by our staff. We are extremely proud of each and every one of our students and would like to congratulate them on their achievements.
